Google can truly buy out pretty much any company that they wish. Today I’ve read that they have just bought out the small team of developers who are behind Twitter analytics. That feeling of developing a product within a niche site or industry and then being acknowledged let alone bought out by Google must be great. I’m not quite sure how Twitter analytics works but I use Google Analytics myself and find that Google analytics trends are really useful to me. I wonder if we were to assign specific success ratings to each element of website design, which elements would show themselves to be the most crucial. Would it be the well written copy? Would it be the pictures that are said to be worth a thousand words? Would it be the special offers and great prices? Or would we find that the less visible elements are most crucial. Things like good grammar, different colours, artistic composition and even the specific font you use. I wonder if any studies have done to determine the impact of these supposedly little things. Many people all over the world use Facebook to keep in touch with thier friends and family. In my opinion Facebook can be both good and bad. While I think it’s harmless to do frivilous things like pretty-up your profile with some banners and chat with friends, I do not like all the games they have on Facebook now. Many people get so addicted to the games that they spend all day on them playing as many as they can keep up with. I feel Facebook would be better if it did not have the games. I like to use facebook to keep in touch with people, however it bothers me when I sign in and have 100 game requests and invites. I also feel that people should have to be monitored with what they are doing on Facebook. There are alot of people who use it to bully other people and that is not fair to those people getting bullied. I think people who are doing bullying should be band from Facebook and turned into law enforcement. Other than that I do enjoy using Facebook.
